FOGELSON LIBRARY RESEARCH AWARD

The Fogelson Library Research Award Committee is pleased to announce the three winners of our second annual Research Award.  In first place is Nicholas Cueto.  Bryce Chismire earned a second place award.  Our third place award winner is Mickel Estrada.  Each student wrote a research paper that met or exceeded our expectations. We were looking for well written and well researched thesis-driven papers.

These students were enrolled in Writing Roundtable I and II classes. Their research papers were submitted by their professors who decided the papers merited our consideration. Nicholas Cueto, a Contemporary Music student, was a student in Mendy Gladden’s “Language Mind and Culture” class, as was Bryce Chismire, who is studying Graphic Design. Mickel Estrada, a Creative Writing student, was in Liz Tidrick’s “The Writer as Outsider” class. Thank you to these two professors for inspiring their students to excel in this area of academic writing and research.

The three winners gathered at the library to receive their award Tuesday, February 26, 2013.

Nicholas Cueto, student of Mendy Gladden
