Christmas Display

There is a Christmas-theme display up now, located on the desk between the circulation desk and the stairwell.   We have a surprising number of items in the collection, including children's books, about Christmas.

If you still have a turntable, check out a vinyl LP of a famous actor--like Lionel Barrymore, Ralph Richardson, Basil Rathbone--performing Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

This copy of The Night Before Christmas  is the only book I have
seen where the introduction is longer than the text, which is two pages.

Books from 1900 to recently published ones, and even some scripts of Christmas-theme plays.  Just think, you and the family could sit by the fireside and do a reading of an adaptation of A Christmas Carol  or  Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, or  Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol.

Have a very happy holiday season!
